Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Domicile Requirement: Applicants must hold a domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or its equivalent.
- Exclusivity: Applicants currently receiving any other scholarships are not eligible for this program.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be under 22 years of age as of the application submission deadline.
- Admission Criteria: Applicants must meet the admission requirements of both HEC and the university they intend to enroll in for BS programs.
Scholarship Coverage:
This scholarship program offers comprehensive financial support, covering:
- Tuition Fees, Hostel Fees, and Other Charges: Up to a maximum of Rs. 240,000 per year.
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 15,000 per month to assist with daily living expenses.
- Books and Travel Allowances: Rs. 30,000 per annum.
Important Notes:
Candidates should take note of the following important points:
- Aptitude Test: Shortlisting of candidates will be based on their performance in an Aptitude Test conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC) and their academic credentials.
- Test Requirement: A minimum of 50% marks is required to qualify in the ETC test. Test results will be valid for one year.
- Current Students: Those already enrolled in BS programs at public sector universities or institutions (with a maximum of one year of enrollment prior to the advertisement) may also apply.
- Merit-Based Selection: The scholarships will be awarded solely on merit, without consideration of gender, caste, race, or region.
- Choice of Institutions: Successful candidates can apply to any public sector university or institution in Pakistan.
- HEC’s Rights: HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage, without prior notice.

- Online Application: Submit your application through the HEC e-portal at https://eportal.hec.gov.pk.
- Completion Requirement: Incomplete or only saved applications will not be considered. Candidates must click ‘submit’ after completing the form.
- Deposit Fee: Applicants are required to deposit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 in any Habib Bank Limited (HBL) branch in Pakistan.
- Required Documents: The scanned copy of the bank deposit slip must be uploaded online as part of the application process.
- Important Note: No hard copy of the application will be entertained.
